Ayr Water Treatment System and Reservoir
Region of Waterloo
The work of this contract is for the expansion of the Ayr Water Supply System, including the water treatment plant, storage and high-lift pumping. The construction project includes:
· expansion of the existing water treatment plant to house additional iron-removal filters;
· expansion of the existing in-ground backwash holding tank;
· removal of the existing in-ground chlorine contact chambers;
· installation of a bi-fuel emergency power generator;
· construction of a high-lift pump station;
· construction of a partial in-ground 2,500 m3 concrete storage reservoir;
· electrical upgrades, including a new transformer
